This privacy notice explains how PubSales.ie uses personal data when you browse the website or send an enquiry about a property.
Who we are

Information we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, email address, optional phone number, message, the property title and reference, and confirmation that you agreed to the enquiry wording.
- Listing contact details: agent or negotiator names, email addresses and phone numbers supplied with the property feed may be displayed on the relevant listing.
- Security information: the enquiry form uses a short-lived, pseudonymous counter derived from the visitor IP address and property ID to prevent repeated spam submissions. The counter expires after 15 minutes. Hosting, content-delivery and security providers may also process standard technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and time.
- Performance information: Cloudflare Web Analytics provides cookie-free page-view and website-performance measurements. It does not use cookies or local storage for those measurements.
How and why we use information
- To send your property enquiry to the listing contact and allow them to reply.
- To use the configured PubSales.ie fallback mailbox when a valid listing-contact email is not available.
- To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, prevent spam and confirm whether an enquiry was delivered.
- To keep property details current from the supplied listing feed and measure website performance.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations and protect legal rights.
Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on taking steps at your request, our legitimate interests in operating a secure property-enquiry service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is specifically requested. You may withdraw consent at any time, although this does not affect processing already carried out.
Who receives your information
A property enquiry is sent first to the valid agent or negotiator email supplied with that listing. If no valid listing email is available, it is sent to the configured PubSales.ie fallback mailbox. Website hosting, content-delivery, security and email providers may process information only as needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. PubSales.ie does not sell enquiry data.
Storage and retention
The full enquiry is sent by email and is not saved as an enquiry record in the WordPress database. It may remain in the relevant sender or recipient mail systems for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, manage follow-up and meet legal or administrative requirements, after which it should be deleted or anonymised. The website keeps only generic delivery logs, such as the property reference and whether delivery succeeded; these logs do not contain the visitor’s name, email, phone number or message and are limited to the most recent 200 entries. Short-lived anti-spam counters expire after 15 minutes. Provider logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s security and retention schedules.
Cookies and similar technologies
The public-facing PubSales.ie theme and property-enquiry feature do not set non-essential cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is used without cookies or local storage. WordPress may set functional login and preference cookies for authorised website administrators; these are not part of the normal visitor experience.
International processing
Some service providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, the relevant provider and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law are used.
Your data-protection rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Send a request to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You may also raise a concern with Ireland’s Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Security and updates
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data, but no internet or email system is completely secure. This notice may be updated when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised date.
